Luginbuel Funeral Home, Vinita, OK (918) 256-5555....Betty Lou (Smith) Andrasko age 96, long-time Disney, OK resident went to be with her Savior on October 27, 2018 surrounded by family at her home in San Antonio, TX. Betty was born in Kellyville, OK to Isaac Donley Smith and Mabel Jessie (Wright) Smith. She married Michael Basil Andrasko on September 20, 1952 in Jacksonville, FL, they were married 46 wonderful years. Betty graduated in 1939 as valedictorian of her class in Manassa High School in Colorado. She attended college in Amarillo, Tx where she worked as a secretary before becoming a military wife. As the military life dictates, she lived at many duty stations during her husband’s 27-year Navy career. They settled in San Diego for approximately 12 years before retiring to Disney, OK in the early 1980’s. Betty loved living on Grand Lake, and her grandchildren have many fond memories of the summers spent with her. She was active in her community alongside her husband who served as Mayor. Betty was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints where she served in many capacities and auxiliaries including Cub Scouts, Primary, and Relief Society. She loved to do genealogy, embroidery, play scrabble, card games, watch Wheel of Fortune and read British mystery novels.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Ralph and Gene Smith; and a daughter Connie Alexander. She is survived by her children, Neal Andrasko of Houston, TX, Steve Andrasko and wife Naomi of McAllen TX, George Mark Andrasko of Disney, OK, Margaret Beard and husband Randy of San Antonio, TX, John Andrasko and wife Beth of Sandy, UT, and Alex Andrasko and wife Allison of Vinita, OK; 29 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, and 3 great great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at the LDS Church, 8801 Midcrown Drive, San Antonio, TX. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at the LDS Church, 1212 NE 3rd Street, Pryor, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home, Vinita, OK.
