Richard Lynn “Ric” Zink, Sr., father of Richard Lynn Zink, Jr., and grandfather of Madalynn Skye Zink, has found peace in our Savior’s loving arms having passed from this life to serve God in His kingdom above on February 1, 2009. Ric, as he was known to his family, friends, and loved ones, achieved some very impressive accomplishments during his life. While serving in the U.S. Air Force he was decorated with 3 service medals. After receiving an honorable discharge, he married Becky Jill Conwell. During his life, he built homes, and owned several businesses which included a printing business, vacation rentals, and real estate.

Mr. Zink attended Rogers State College where he attained his Associate of Arts Degree, then Northeastern State University where he received his Bachelors of Arts Degree, and finally the University of Oklahoma where he received his Master’s Degree in Public Administration. He earned several awards from the Arkansas Real Estate Commission. Mr. Zink also volunteered countless hours at the Volunteer Ambulance Service in Garfield Arkansas where he achieved the EMT certification.

Mr. Zink is survived by a son, Richard Lynn Zink, Jr. of Rogers, Arkansas; by a granddaughter, Madalynn Zink of Bartlesville; by a brother Donnie Zink; by lifelong friends, Charles Moore and his son, Michael Moore of Ennis, Texas; and by numerous aunts and uncles.

Funeral services for Mr. Zink will be held at 12:00p.m., Saturday, February 7, 2009 in the Benjamin Funeral Home Chapel. On-Line condolences can be left for the family at www.honoringmemories.com.
