Tonna L. (Fernetti) Zuech, age 76 passed away on September 9, 2013 at Integris Grove General Hospital in Grove, Oklahoma.
Tonna was the daughter of Tony Fernetti and Olivia (Gometz) Fernetti; she was born on December 31, 1936 in Pittsburgh, Kansas. Tonna graduated from high school in Frontenac, Kansas. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Ernest A. Zuech in the summer of 1956. Tonna worked many years with religious education for children at St. Elizabeth’s church. She also worked and supported the Playmaker Theater in Grove, Oklahoma.
Tonna was preceded in death by her parents; she is survived by her husband Ernest Zuech of the home, sister, Caroleen Mars, two daughters Marianna P. Zuech of Niceville, Florida, Laura O. Neal of Bartlesville, Oklahoma and son Dr. David E. Zuech of Enid, Oklahoma. Tonna was blessed with six grandchildren; Dane Holady, Samantha Neal, Brandon J. Neal, Abbey Zuech, Katie Zuech and J.D. Zuech.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday September 11, 2013 at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, OK. Rosary will be held at 7:00 PM Wednesday during the visitation.
Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, September, 12, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Grove, Oklahoma. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Frontenac, KS. Memorials made be made in Tonna’s name to the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church Building Fund.
