Obituary for Mary Lou Young
Luginbuel Funeral Home, Vinita, OK (918) 256-5555......Mary Lou Young was born north of Vinita in Craig County to Lawrence Ledgerwood and Delpha (Horton) Ledgerwood. Mary Lou passed away on February 12, 2019.
Mary attended Bluejacket High school, NEO College in Miami, and Research Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. She was a Registered Medical Technologist and worked in Tulsa for many years. Mary Lou was active in church choirs and in the music programs in college where she played the lead role of Nellie Forbush in “South Pacific” and in the musical “Plain and Fancy”.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Dan February 1993; and a sister Joann Lawson December 2001.
Mary Lou is survived by her children Daniel Young II, Janey Sutton and husband Wade, Brian Young and wife Willow; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held in the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday, February 14, 2019. Services will be 1:00 pm Friday, February 15, 2019 in the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel with Bob Hampton officiating. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
