Obituary for Gary Noah Spainhower

Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma, 918-786-2261. Gary Noah Spainhower, 72 year old resident of Southwest City, Missouri, died on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 in Kansas City, Missouri.

Gary was born on October 1, 1946 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was the son of Hubert N. and Jennie May (Anderson) Spainhower. Gary was a Vietnam Veteran that proudly served in the United States Army. He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Catherine Louise Hodge in September of 1968. Gary was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed traveling, collecting antiques and coins, but most of all loved spending time with his family and spoiling his grandchildren.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister. He is survived by his wife Catherine of the home, his son Michael Spainhower and wife Melissa of Diamond Bar, CA, his daughter Melissa Dial and husband Paul of Tonganoxie, Kansas, his sister Linda Chenoweth and husband Jack of Lincoln, Arkansas, and brother Nick Spainhower of Bentonville, Arkansas. Gary was blessed with 5 grandchildren; Mitchell Spainhower, Noah Dial, Mary Kate Dial, Melanie Spainhower and Madison Spainhower.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 2-4 pm, Sunday, January 20, 2019. Services are scheduled for 10:00 am, Monday, January 21, 2019 both held at the Grove Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel. Gary will be laid to rest in the White Oak Cemetery near Tontitown, Arkansas.
