Billie Jean Jones, 87 year old Grainola, OK resident, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018. Billie Jean was born in DeNoya, OK on September 28, 1931 to Lester and Velma (Harrison) Johnson. She was a great homemaker, worked alongside of her husband on the farm, and worked numerous years as a librarian. Billie Jean was an artist. She enjoyed leather work, knitting, painting, jewelry making, and other arts and crafts. She loved to read and write but above all loved her family. She had a great sense of humor and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her children: Paula (Jones) Goodwin and husband Gary of Sugar Land, TX, Debbie (Jones) McKee and husband Bill of Chetopa,KS, David Jones of Guernsay, WY, and John Jones and wife Valorie of Grainola, OK 15 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband Paul Jones.
