Ann “Nanny” Walker, 88 year old Spavinaw resident, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Tuesday, July 10, 2018. Nanny was born in Tulsa on October 19, 1929 to William and Mary (Hanna) Dunham. She worked at Spavinaw School from 1974-2009. She loved her church, the school kids, and her family. She always took kids Christmas caroling and to Falls Creek every year.
Survivors include her children: Sharon Evans and husband Orval of Spavinaw, OK Teresa Walker of Grove, OK Clinton G. Walker, Jr. and wife Kim of Cantoment, FL, and Mike Starks, sister Louise Vargas of Dewey, OK, brother Jerry Don Dunham and wife Linda of Pensacola, OK, 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren with an additional one on the way. She is preceded in death by her husband Clinton Gawain Walker, Sr., her parents, 3 sisters, and 4 brothers.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Thursday, July 12, 2018 at the Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday, July 13, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Spavinaw with Pastor Leon Shade officiating. Interment will follow at Spavinaw Strang Cemetery.
