Life Story for Thomas Joseph "Tom" Ziegler

South Grand Lake Funeral Home, Langley, Oklahoma, 918-782-4400 - Thomas (Tom) Joseph Ziegler, 75-year-old Langley resident passed away at his home in Langley, Tuesday, May 8, 2018. He was born October 9, 1942 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Frank Charles and Julia Ann (Naughton) Ziegler. He graduated from Bishop Kelly High School in Tulsa and had the honor of being a part of the initial graduating class of Bishop Kelly. Tom married the love of his life, Cindy Wilson, on December 29,1962. They enjoyed 55 years of marriage. He worked in the family business, F.C. Ziegler Company; a company his father started manufacturing church supplies, until retiring in 2012. Tom was a member of Saint Frances Catholic Church in Langley, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and the NCGA, National Church Goods Association. He enjoyed woodworking, sailing, and reading. Above all he loved his family. Tom’s wife, children, and grandchildren all had their own special place in his heart and he will be missed by all of them.
Preceding Tom in death are his parents, Frank and Julia Ziegler, and three brothers, Jack, William and Daniel Ziegler.
Survivors include his wife Cindy, of the home; daughters, Jeanne Long of Tulsa, Bridget Taylor and husband Donnie, of Claremore, Sarah Pennington and husband David, of Tulsa; grandchildren, Elizabeth Long, Megan Dayton and husband Justin, Hannah Taylor, Ashleigh Taylor, Taylor Beck, Haley Beck; sisters, Mary Ziegler of Tulsa, Fran Pace of Tulsa; brother James Ziegler of Tulsa; many other relatives and a host of friends.
A funeral mass will be held for Thomas Ziegler 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 11, 2018, at Saint Frances Catholic Church in Langley, Oklahoma. A prayer service will be held Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 6:30 p.m., in the Luginbuel South Grand Lake Chapel in Langley.
