Luginbuel Funeral Home, Vinita, Oklahoma (918) 256-5555.....Janet Darlene Brookshire passed away October 15, 2018 at Saint Francis South Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born August 28, 1949 to J.T. and Alice Marie (Tilton) Brookshire in Vinita. Janet enjoyed working puzzles, coloring, and collecting stuffed animals. Janet was a friendly person and listened to the radio and especially liked the song “Jesus Loves Me”. She loved pumpkin pie and spending time with her sister, nieces, nephews, and family. Janet lived at the Gateway Foundation in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and enjoyed the time she spent there. Janet will be missed by all who knew her.
Preceding Janet in death are her parents, J.T. and Alice Brookshire.
Survivors include her sister, Shirley Brookshire of Tulsa, an two nephews, Daniel and David Freeman.
Graveside funeral services for Janet Brookshire will be held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Fairview Cemetery, Vinita, Oklahoma, with Pastor Justin Turner officiating. Services and with Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com
