The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Melvin Shutt can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Cathy, Gary and all the Shutt extended family, we are so sorry for the loss of your father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Melvin. He was a wonderful, caring and loving person to everyone who came to know him and will be missed by all. We hope you can find comfort in knowing that he has been freed from the shackles of dementia which has slowly been taking him away and is now again with Virginia. He will truly be missed by all who knew him. We are sorry that because of health reasons, we will not be able to attend the home-going celebration but our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
