Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma 918-786-2261. Martha “Suzy” Stephens-Bloom, 80 year old resident of Monkey Island, Oklahoma passed away peacefully on July 10, 2018 at her home, surrounded by loved ones.

Suzy was born on November 22, 1937, she was the loving daughter of Brian Douglas and Louise Douglas -Vanbeber. Suzy worked for Shangri-La Resort for 32 years as an executive assistant to the general manager. She was a wonderful cook, very talented artist, she loved to host parties, was an exceptional gardener and was always dressed to the nine’s. She was referred to as “Classy and Sassy” by her granddaughters. Suzy was a member of the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church.

Suzy was preceded in death by her mother, her first husband, Phillip Stephens, Sr., her two children; Phillip Stephens, Jr and Susan Stephens-Dodson, her brother Chester Douglas and her sister Linda Vanbeber. She will be dearly missed by her husband Kenneth L. Bloom of the home, her three granddaughters; Jennifer Spicer and her husband Dustin of Grove, Virginia Stephens her fiancé Adam Corcoran of Tulsa and Harmony Stephens of Seattle, one great grandson Cooper Phillip Wilson the son of Jennifer. She is also survived by her brother Homer Vanbeber, Jr., of Westville and Margaret Tanner of Texas.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at 7:00 pm, Friday July 13, 2018 at Grove Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home. Services are scheduled for 10:00 am, Saturday, July 14, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church with Father Tam Nguyen officiating. Memorial donations can be made in Suzy name to St. Jude’s. Arrangements are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma.
