Naomi Louise (Smith) Higeons, 89, passed away Friday, April 20, 2018 at her residence in Claremore, Oklahoma. She was born April 17, 1929 in Pitcher, Oklahoma to Elmer Smith and Fina Myrtle (Mitchell) Smith. Naomi graduated from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College in Miami, Oklahoma. She married the love of her life, Jim Higeons, January 1, 1950 in Miami, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker, where she spent her time caring for her family. Naomi was a member of the First Baptist Church in Talala, Oklahoma. She loved to garden, paint, travel, and can fresh vegetables from her garden. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Naomi had many friends and will be thoroughly missed by all who knew her.

Naomi is preceded in death by her parents, Elmer Smith, and Fina Myrtle (Mitchell) Smith; one sister, Melba (Smith) Cottom and one brother Claude Smith;

Naomi is survived by her husband, Jim Higeons of the home; two daughters, Deborah Purinton and her husband Don of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Donna Langston and her husband Gary of Paso Robles, California; two grandchildren, Victoria Asay of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Christopher Langston of Paso Robles, California.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations to be made in her honor to Alzheimer Foundation of America, https://alzfdn.org. Arrangements have been entrusted to Benjamin Funeral Service.
