Linda Sue Henson, 62, passed away Friday, at her home in Eucha, Oklahoma. She was born January 23, 1956 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to John Henry Scott Sr. and Zetta Delilah (Robertson) Scott. Linda was a 1974 graduate of Jay High School in Jay, Oklahoma. She continued her education at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, earning her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education in 1995. Linda retired from teaching school after working at different schools in the Grand Lake area. On October 11, 1974 Linda married the love of her life, Randy LeDon Henson at the Topsy Assembly of God Church in Eucha. Linda was a very devout Christian and was the coordinator for the Girls Ministry at her church, the Disney Assembly of God. It was a program that was very dear to her and she loved helping the girls. She also was quite a collector of chickens. She loved caring for and raising them. She enjoyed her summer vegetable gardens and playing video games. Linda would play Mexican dominoes with her brother and sisters, as well as sitting and watching the humming birds, and especially cardinals. Linda enjoyed singing and spending time with her grandchildren watching them play sports of all kinds. She was an avid OU fan and cheered for the Crimson and Cream. Above all Linda loved her family. Her husband of 43 years, children, grandchildren, siblings, and other family had a special place tucked inside her heart. She truly will be missed by her family, church, and friends.
Preceding Linda Henson in death are her parents, John and Zetta Scott, and one granddaughter, Emma Henson.
Survivors include her loving husband, Randy Henson of the home; children, Michael and his wife Deni Henson of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Brian and his wife Kalynn of Miami, Oklahoma, Melissa and husband Jerry Mooney of Claremore, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Cleo Mooney, Gavin Henson, Kelby Henson Allison Mooney; siblings, Sherry Johnson of Topsy, Oklahoma, John Scott Jr. of Topsy, Oklahoma, Toni Paul of Tijuana, Oklahoma; many other relatives and a host of friends.
Services for Linda Sue Henson will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at the Disney Assembly of God Church, Disney Oklahoma, under the direction of Langley Luginbuel Funeral Home. A visitation with the family will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Tuesday at the Langley Luginbuel Funeral Home, Langley, Oklahoma.
