Funeral services for Theresa Elizabeth Hill are 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the First Baptist Church on Mississippi Street in Nowata with Rev. Anthony Nash officiating. Interment will follow at Sanders Cemetery in Childers, Oklahoma. Family will be receiving friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Friday, October 6, 2017 at Benjamin Funeral Service.

The sun set for Theresa Elizabeth Hill on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at the Osage Nursing Center in Nowata. The sun rose for Theresa on January 24, 1935 in Delaware, Oklahoma to Otis and Annie (Alrid) Alberty. Theresa was a 1954 graduate of Lincoln High School in Nowata, Oklahoma and was a member of the largest graduating class at Lincoln. She was also a committee member for the Lincoln High School Reunion. Theresa was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church and she had the distinction of being the Mother of the Church. Theresa worked in Chelsea as a seamstress for E.E. Sewing Inc. manufacturing clothing. She loved to sew and do embroidery but most of all she loved cooking for and caring for her family. Peach cobbler was her specialty that her family and friends loved. He children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother, and other family were so special to her and she loved them with all her heart. Theresa was a lovely lady that will be missed by all who knew her.

Theresa is survived by four children, Linda Hill and her friend Raymond Nash of Nowata, Oklahoma, Donald Hill and his wife Siretta of Coffeyville, Kansas, Anna Hill of Nowata, Oklahoma, Hollis Burnett and his wife Rachel of Freemont, California, a grandson she raised, Kevin Hill and his wife Amy of Owasso, Oklahoma; a brother, Amos Alberty and his wife Louise of Tulsa, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Milin Hill and his wife Vincentrise, Markesha Hill, Holly Burnett, Haley Burnett, Becky Davis, eleven great -grandchildren, a cousin Eugene Towers who faithfully visited her every week for several years, many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives. She is preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Annie Alberty.
